Alduin smiled as he lifted her up and began to kiss her but it was short live when a messenger stood in the doorway waiting. Alduin noticed him and gently put her down and walked to the boy. “So what news?” The messenger gave him the note and ran off not waiting for a reply. Alduin looked at the paper and wasn’t surprised that the man was going to wait and wanted it done tomorrow morning.
"What was that about?" Lyna asked as she joined him at his side. That poor messenger ran from here like his pants were on fire, Alduin could be intimidating thou she found him to be a giant teddy bear most of the time.
Alduin handed Lyna the note “It looks like it is time tomorrow morning.” Alduin didn’t like it but this had to be done. “I must make some preparations but enjoy the rest of the day.” Alduin began to walk but was stopped by Lyna’s hand.
She didn’t understand why she had stopped him. She just couldn’t come to release his hand from hers. She looked at his face almost as if she was memorizing every detail, every line.
"I.." She felt her voice shake and cleared her throat. "Right, I’ll be here with my flowers and maybe the bird." Lyna forced herself to drop his hand.
Alduin pulled her in close kissed her passionately when he looked at her again he smiled “It will work I promise.” With that he left heading for a deeper part of the Keep where one of the men caught a loose abomination when he reached the creature it was young and very angry. The guard was hating it more and more as he stood there, Alduin would love nothing more than to kill it but he needed it. “Sir you sure about this.” Alduin wasn’t but his plan would work because of this thing “Yes the arrows are dipped and the Litany is prepared to withstand anything when the arrow strikes this thing will strike it.”
Lyna roamed the garden.
She walked farther then normal, disappearing out of view of the Keep. She was not afraid. Alduin had guards everywhere and the first time he caught her wandering the forest, he doubled patorls. She needed this moment alone if she was going to pull off Alduin’s plan tomorrow, she needed to steel her emotions. She couldn’t head into battle making puppy eyes at Alduin. Lyna found her favorite tree, it was the tallest in the forest. Easily she climbed all the way to the top and settled into the opening that she made. No one knew of this little hiding place of hers, she even managed to ditch Dust. She would return to the keep for dinner but for now she had to put some distance from her feelings, from her Alduin.
